My athletic journey started with hockey when I was just 3 years old. I've always loved playing, but over the years I've learned to love the science behind peak performance even more. I studied my diet, warm up, sleep, pre-game routines and mental prep looking for patterns to isolate what works, and what doesn't. It's discovering that magic and passing it on to others that keeps me excited about my job, hobby and lifestyle.
Since finishing my hockey career in the National Women's Hockey League and NCAA, I’ve found the joy of trying new sports again and have tried to play as many as possible.
I’ve found my true love toeing the start lines of a race.
Racing for me is about far more than being the fastest out there. It’s about beating my personal best times. It’s about pushing farther and faster than I thought I could. It's not just the thought of winning that gets me out of bed at 4am, it's the rush of the finish line and the sense of accomplishment that follows. Racing is my happy place. The allure of endurance, the burn of a 5km—I love every moment of them.
