E73 Anne-Marie: Train hard, live happy
/Anne-Marie Madden is a Vancouver based trail and road runner. She trains as hard as she works, and the proof is in the races. She recently came 2nd at the Northface 50 Mile Championship and 1st place at the Squamish 23km. In 2018 when the Northface Championship was cancelled she was able to shift gears last minute and run an Olympic qualifying time for a road marathon at 2:42:18. She finds that being outside keeps her happy and helps balance the more hectic and stressful aspects of work life. She is humble, down to earth, and offers great advice that everyone from experts to beginners can benefit from.

April went from not being able to run 60 seconds to running the Chicago Marathon. When she was in the darkest place in her life she buckled down and got out the door. She didn’t know anything about running, she just wanted to have peace in her mind and to love life again, and she did! She is now 4 years in the game and loving what running has done for her and her life.
