Ever wonder what would happen if you stepped on a stick and it went straight through your shoe AND your foot?? In this episode, we hear from local runner and stick survivor Katie Mills. Katie is originally from the UK who now calls North Vancouver her home. Katie sort of stumbled into trail running while living in Whistler by spending days exploring the mountain on foot. She signed up for Whistler50 mile and quickly moved to more technical terrain and longer distances. Though seemingly unprepared she had some impressive success early on in her career. Katie’s story is an example of how the community of trail running includes far more than just racing and training!
The women of the trails share their stories about running, racing, and life. These badass ladies from around the globe get honest about everything from competing, motherhood, and trying to have it all. Get ready for training ideas, gear tips, and a healthy dose of inspiration.
