Meridith ran her first 100 miler at one year postpartum with her first kid (Cadence, now 4) and her second 100 at 10 months postpartum with her second (Callie, now 16 months old). She most recently ran a sub 3hr marathon. Meridith has been pregnant or breastfeeding for most of her running journey. Alyssa Salava started running in 8th grade and ran track and cross country throughout high school and university. She struggled with injuries during university including a multitude of stress fractures. She later learned the push to be thinner from her coaches and lack of nutrition was a huge factor in her health. She found chiropractic school and was able to heal her body and find a healthy relationship with running on the trails. She now specializes in pediatrics and pre/post natal care with a growing passion to help moms get back into running after giving birth.

After Vanessa's 2nd baby was born, she decided it was time to run her first 50km. Her journey wasn't an easy one. She couldn't train during pregnancy with a subchorionic haematoma, and once she began running postpartum she was quickly stopped by pubic symphysis diastasi. She tells her story of her first 50km made possible by the support from her husband, her team of doctors, and of course, a ton of hard work juggled with raising tiny humans.
