It took about 6 marathons for Shelby to call herself a “runner.” She dabbled in sports in high school: lacrosse, swimming, sailing, a teeny bit of field hockey, she tried hard, but was pretty bad. Often the winner of the “spirit award” because of her positive attitude and poster making obsession.

/Faith was 46 years old when her home town in Massachusetts was hit with a Tornado, leaving no end of destruction. Needing to do something to help she signed up for a charity 5km to raise money. The then non-runner quickly fell in love. She improved rapidly as new runners often do, and set her sights for a BQ. After 6 or 7 tries, she realized the ultra world was where she belonged.
