I first interviewed Lizzie in 2020 when we was diagnosed with rare heart condition called AVRC. It's genetic condition that effects the muscle in your heart and makes it turn into scar tissue the harder you work the muscle. In short, it means running can kill you. We chat again about how she's learned to live with it and how far she can push.
Reid Taylor is a Delta Firefighter who has now run 2 marathons wearing 45-pounds of his turnout gear. Reid has always been an athlete but endurance running was something entirley new to him. After his first marathon he began to get chest pains and training stopped abruptly. We chat about how he overcame a 90% blockage in his artery and eventually geared up to run the marathon a second time in March 2024.

Read MoreSarah grew up in Northern Wisconsin and ran throughout school, eventually earning a scholarship to Bradley University where she competed in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. She was very successful both as a runner and academicaly, but also suffered from an eating disorder that plagued her throughout her time there. After seeking treatment, she started blogging about it (https://www.theprosiest.com) and it's evolved to be about mental health, running, writing, and relationships. She also writes and performs poetry, and just published a book called "I Like It Cuz It's Pink."
