Her and her mom started racing when Lisa was 20 years old as a way to meet people after a move. Lisa was the youngest in the group but never let age or speed deter her from enjoying the group. Her and mom quickly became intertwined in the running community in Nanaimo and ran their first marathon together

She spends 50% of her time underground, and the other 50% training to be a competitive trail runner. Her history includes designing high end furniture in Belfast, becoming a Divemaster in the Canary Islands, and making bikes in Nepal where she finished 1st place female in the Himalayan Rush Triathlon.
